Jr DevOps Analyst Position Description Looking for an opportunity to learn a new technology? We are looking for Jr DevOps Analysts to work with various clients implementing and supporting DevOps systems. These are junior, entry level positions, in a rapidly growing technology field. We are looking for people who have a very good communication skills, be able to communicate with clients and users easily, have a consulting mindset, and have strong analytical skills. Experience with DevOps systems is not required, since training will be provided; however, this opportunity will be of particular interest to those who really enjoy solving problems and quickly learning new technologies. Your future duties and responsibilities Accountable for the development and support of DevOps systems for various clients. This includes researching, designing, writing documentation, coding, debugging, and providing support on both the delivery and operational areas of a system's lifecycle. This includes writing and unit testing software (infrastructure as code as well as deployment scripts) leveraging DevOps tools in support of client systems, as well as providing support during development and operations for DevOps systems. Typical duties in the life of a DevOps Analyst include: Incident resolution, including root cause analysis, for incidents involving client systems Creation of Infrastructure as Code to create infrastructure for client systems Creation of deployment scripts to use automatic deployment tools Integration of test automation scripts into Continuous Integration tools Creation of test automation scripts (minimally, those that smoke test an application, but may include creation of automation for functional testing) Creation of workflows to automate deployment and promotion through various environments Maintenance of configuration management tools to ensure stable environment configurations Working closely with other team members in a highly collaborative environment Required qualifications to be successful in this role Must Have Technical Skills Knowledge of a programming language Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in IT or related disciple. Ability to learn and use new software applications quickly and easily Attention to detail Strong communications skills, both written and oral Strong analytical skills; ability to root cause data issues Knowledge of Software Development principles Soft Skills Strong interpersonal skills Positive attitude Flexibility, self-motivated, and has the ability to give and receive feedback Ability to working effectively and collaboratively with others to achieve common goals Able to multitask effectively Have excellent time management, task planning and prioritization skills Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements Able to work effectively with minimal supervision Enjoy working in a self-teaching, learning organization Ability to build strong relationships with clients and team member At CGI, we're a team of builders. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
